Job Title: IT Technician
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our organization’s IT infrastructure. The IT Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, providing technical support to end-users, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Support:
- Provide first-level support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to computer systems, hardware, and software.
- Installation and Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Ensure all IT equipment is up-to-date with the latest firmware and software patches.
- Network Management:
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure a secure and stable network environment.
- System Upgrades and Migrations:
- Collaborate with the IT team to plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.
- Ensure minimal disruption during system upgrades and maintain data integrity.
- Security Measures:
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems, data, and networks.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and implement preventive measures.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Create user guides and manuals to assist end-users with common technical issues.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to enhance overall IT functionality.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role. Familiarity with a variety of hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of computer networks, protocols, and security.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
